Capella and clinical hours

January 12, 2012Colin Hello Sarah and Donette, Looks like we have a few questions about clinical hours and Capella. My name is Colin and I am a counselor here at Capella and I will shed some light on this question. At Capella, we are CCNE accredited (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education), which serves as a statement of good education practice in the field of nursing. Because of this, we require students to achieve their RN degree through an accredited program as well. An accredited RN program meets the requirements for clinical hours, and combined with our requirement to either be working in the field as a nurse, or have at least 1 year of experience in the field, we are then able to offer a program without required clinical hours. 100% of your program will be on-line, without any lab work. For further questions, please contact a member of our enrollment team!

February 4, 2012Heather When applying for admission to the online RN to BSN program, can you still be finishing your ADN? I plan to start working towards my bachelor's degree in the fall upon completion of my ADN in June of this year, and I am in the process of applying for a BSN program. I was not sure if you already have to have your RN or can still be in process at time of application. Thanks!
