Lonnie Wederski

Lonnie Wederski, PhD

Dr. Wederski joined Capella in 2004 as an adjunct instructor. Since that time, he has served as a dissertation mentor and dissertation committee chair, and has been a core faculty member since 2008. Prior to joining Capella, Dr. Wederski worked as a registered nurse in burn trauma, as psychiatry clinician and administrator, and opened an independent, inpatient center for women with eating disorders.

  • Founded inpatient psychiatric center to treat women with eating disorders
  • Served as Executive Director of a residential treatment center for abused and neglected children
  • Chair of Capella’s Faculty Review Panel
  • Served as primary subject matter expert in developing Capella’s Master of Health Administration (MHA) and Doctor of Health Administration programs

“The basis for my instruction stems from my desire to help others. This began early in my career as a registered nurse and stems to my role today as an instructor. There is tremendous fulfillment in watching people learn and grow professionally and personally from the educational process.”
