Major L. Tammy Duckworth delivered an inspiring commencement address at Capella's spring commencement ceremony in Phoenix on March 20, 2010. Major Duckworth spoke about education, service to our communities, and service to our nation.

Major Duckworth is an Iraq War veteran and currently serves as the Assistant Secretary for Public and Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. She is also pursuing her PhD at Capella.
